Booking an appointment at the office
The RESERVATIC booking system has brought a fresh breeze and new opportunities into the communication environment between municipalities and citizens. Times are simply changing. Today, it is no longer true that booking and queuing systems are one and the same. Let's explain these terms in more detail.
A citizen wants to schedule an appointment from home or work to pick up a driving license, for example. They use the online booking system RESERVATIC for this purpose. They arrive at the building where familiar displays with queue numbers are already hanging, which is the queuing system. This can be, for example, a system by the company Kadlec elektronika s.r.o., with which Reservatic cooperates technically. The citizen approaches the display at the counter but does not wait for a paper with a number; instead, they enter a PIN received during the online reservation process. At that moment, the system automatically assigns them to their reserved time slot without the citizen having to wait as the last arrival in the waiting room. Reservatic specializes in online booking systems, while Kadlec mainly focuses on queuing systems.
And how does Gordic fit into this cycle?
It's simple. If a citizen needs to schedule a time for an official task or meeting, they need a suitable “environment,” which is the Citizen Portal. In simple terms, they can find and “click through” everything they need there. Mostly, they can securely authenticate themselves so the official knows who is coming to the office and why. This is where the Gordic Citizen Portal application comes into play. For us, regular visitors to the offices, it’s a great simplification. And for you at the offices as well. Why? Let’s describe the situation:
The Citizen Portal uses a single login, which is the Citizen Identity. Users do not need to register for another system. They don’t need to remember another password. We already have enough of those, don’t we? They simply log into their city’s Citizen Portal using their Citizen Identity to submit the necessary application, for example, for the mentioned new driving license. They fill out and submit the application form directly from the portal. But they must collect it in person. And here we get to the core of the matter. In the portal, they can also schedule their personal visit. They do not need to search for the office's opening hours on the city’s website, nor do they need to look for a separate booking system if the city has one, and they do not need any additional login passwords. Everything is in one place, in one application. Clear and secure.
The result of the joint product now presented to you by Gordic and Reservatic is a satisfied citizen who does not have to visit the office for matters that can be handled from home. If they do have to visit the office, they have a set time and can complete their business without unnecessary waiting. The office is also pleased to offer citizens a new modern service and significantly reduce the workload on counter staff. This is what you call a WIN-WIN situation.
